Marginalia Press
Identity and printed matter for a small press — spine marks, tags and shop bags.
Challenge
The press published twelve titles a year from four imprints, and each cover carried a different logo. Readers could not tell the house from the book.
Approach
We moved the identity off the cover and onto the spine: one colophon mark at the foot, small enough to sit beside any design. Covers stay free; the shelf does the branding.
Final result
Branding that stays out of the writer's way.
